This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you access or use the Service.
By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.
This policy applies to all users of Stock Alarm Pro, including users of our web platform (pro.stockalarm.io), iOS app, and Android app.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information. When you register for an account, we collect your email address, display name, and password (stored in hashed form). If you subscribe to a paid plan, we also collect billing information, which is processed by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
Usage Data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages viewed, features used, alerts created, watchlist additions, and search queries. This data helps us understand how the Service is used and improve it over time.
Device and Technical Information. We collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and referring URLs. This information is collected automatically via server logs and analytics software.
Communications. If you contact us by email or through support channels, we retain those communications to help resolve your inquiry and improve our support.
Stock Alerts and Watchlists. The stock alerts, watchlists, and screener configurations you create are stored in our database to power the Service. This data is associated with your account and treated as your personal configuration data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To operate and deliver the Service. This includes processing your registrations, managing your account, delivering real-time alerts, and displaying personalized watchlist and screener data.
To communicate with you. We send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets, billing receipts), product update notifications, and educational content about Stock Alarm Pro features. You may opt out of non-transactional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting support.
To process payments. We use Stripe to process subscription payments. Your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's privacy policy. We store only non-sensitive billing metadata (plan type, subscription status, renewal date) on our servers.
To improve the Service. We analyze aggregated, anonymized usage data to identify bugs, performance issues, and feature gaps. Individual user data is not used for this purpose without anonymization.
For security and fraud prevention. We use technical and organizational measures to detect unauthorized access, abuse of the Service, and fraudulent transactions.
To comply with legal obligations. We retain and disclose information where required by applicable law, court order, or regulatory authority.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
