Britain's TT Electronics said its 150-pence-per-share takeover by Swiss firm Cicor Technologies collapsed on Wednesday after it failed to secure the necessary votes from shareholders.
TT Electronics PLC (LSE:TTG) shares fell over 20% to 105p after DBay Advisors said it is no longer considering making an offer for the company. Last week DBAY said it was considering a possible offer and was given a put-up-or-shut-up deadline of 5pm today (Monday 15 December).
DBAY Advisors, the biggest shareholder of TT Electronics , said on Monday that it does not intend to make an offer for the British company, withdrawing from a possible bidding war with Swiss firm Cicor.
TT Electronics PLC (LSE:TTG) shares rose 4% to 147.23p after Swiss group Cicor Technologies unveiled a more flexible final offer for the British engineering firm, adding an all-cash alternative to its previous cash-and-shares proposal. Cicor's original bid, announced in late October, offered 100p in cash plus a small slice of new Cicor shares for each TT share.

The deal with Cicor will see shareholders receive 100p in cash and 0.0028 new Cicor shares for each TT share they own, valuing the company at 155p per share based on the Bronschhofen-based firm's latest closing price.
