Card Factory (LSE:CARD) said it is on track to deliver full-year profits in line with its profit warning in December, following a period marked by softer UK consumer activity and lower high street footfall. For the 11 months to the end of December, total group revenue rose 7.3% year-on-year to £541.6 million, supported by the acquisition of Funky Pigeon and other operations in North America and the Republic of Ireland.

Elevated cost pressures pulled Card Factory's profits sharply lower in the first half, the retailer has announced.

Shares in Card Factory (LSE:CARD) fell 5% in early trading after the retailer of greeting cards and gifts reported a drop in half-year profits, even as it stuck to its full-year guidance. The group posted a 6% rise in revenue to £248 million for the six months to the end of July, driven by new store openings, resilient like-for-like sales growth of 1.5% and strong seasonal trading around Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.

Card Factory (LSE:CARD) has struck a deal to buy FunkyPigeon.com, the online personalised card and gifting business, from WH Smith PLC (LSE:SMWH) for £24 million cash. Card Factory (LSE:CARD) PLC jumped over 8% on Tuesday after gracing investors with news of a “successful” Christmas and market outperformance over the year so far. Revenue was up 6.3% at £506.6 million over the 11 months to the end of 2024, Card Factory reported on Tuesday, aided by growth of 4.7% in November and December.
