Swiss travel retailer Avolta posted a 5.3% organic increase in first-quarter turnover on Thursday, driven by its diversified business structure, despite headwinds in North America from lower traffic volumes earlier in the year.

Avolta—the combined business of travel retailer Dufry and travel food operator Autogrill—delivered its first full-year results as a merged company today with a promise that future revenues would beat future global passenger traffic growth.
Avolta reported a strong Q3 and raised its guidance on revenue and EBITDA, driven by continued momentum. We believe the recent weakness due to macro slowdown concerns remains overblown as demonstrated by resilient Q3 performance and its performance during 2008 recession. Avolta also announced a new dividend policy (~2.4% yield) which it had paused since the beginning of the pandemic signalling a positive intent.
The diversified travel retailer is now fully ready to deliver on its Destination 2027 strategy.
EMEA and North America make up over 80% of revenue for the travel retailer.
