How the AI Stock Rating works
A weighted average of seven inputs, each scored 0–100: our AI's review of the company (20%) and six market and financial factors (80%). Quality, Growth and Value are percentiles against the stock's own sector peers; Strength compares the stock with its sector and the whole market; Technical and Volume flow are read from the stock's own chart and volume. If a fundamental factor or the AI review has no data for a stock, its weight is shared across the others; stocks without Strength data are left out of the ranking so every row compares like with like. The rating is recomputed every trading day after the close and stays fixed until the next close — live prices never move it intraday.
AI review
20%Our AI’s review of the company — business progress, expectations and valuation, read from company filings, earnings calls and other public sources — as a 0–100 percentile among every company it has reviewed. It changes when the AI re-reviews a company, not daily. A company it has not reviewed is rated on the six factors alone.

A 0-100 weighted average of our AI’s review of the company (20%) and six market and financial factors (80%) - relative strength, quality, growth, value, technicals and volume flow. Quality, growth and value are ranked against the stock’s sector peers; relative strength is measured against the sector and the whole market. The weights are published on this page, and it is the same score shown everywhere on Stock Alarm Pro.
How often are the ratings updated?
Every trading day after the close. The rating is fixed for the following session: live prices and percent changes are shown next to it, but they never move the score intraday.
Which stocks are rated?
Every stock with enough data to rank on relative strength - 499 today. Stocks without 26-week strength data are left out of the ranked list so every row compares like with like.
Is a high rating a buy signal?
No. The rating summarizes how a stock scores today on measurable factors; it is not a recommendation or investment advice. Stocks marked Extended have run well above their recent range, which often makes for a poor entry even when the rating is high.
How is this different from analyst ratings?
Analyst ratings are opinions with price targets. The AI Stock Rating is a measurement built from published inputs and weights, so you can see exactly why a stock ranks where it does. Each quote page shows both side by side.
